International Experience
I have been working within the international community directly for the past 2 1/2 years through the Office of International Engagement as the Student Programming Coordinator, but have been involved with the international community here at UNI since I stepped foot on campus four years ago! I started as a student in International Student Promoters, and have since found a home here with our students from around the world!
Why do you enjoy working with International Students?
I enjoy how open and willing the international community is here at UNI. Students are always wanting to experience new things, meet new people, and really engage with our domestic community here at UNI! They want to learn and take part in cross cultural exchanges which brings so much life and perspective to our campus, even here in the heart of Iowa. Most of all, their stories and the connections that you can make with them are life changing, literally, I speak from experience.
